Sister Ellen Kron, DC
Ascension Health Board of Trustees

Sr. Ellen Kron, DC, is a member of the Ascension Health Board of Trustees. She is a councilor for the Daughters of Charity St. Louis Province.

Sr. Ellen earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from University of New Orleans and master’s degrees in business administration and social work from Washington University, St. Louis. She is a licensed clinical social worker and is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She also has certification in family therapy.

Prior to her appointment as provincial councilor, she served as a Missionary at Sacre Coeur Hospital, Milot, Haiti. Sister Ellen also served as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at Marygrove in Florissant, Mo., Assistant Administrator at Child Center of Our Lady of Grace in St. Louis, and Residence Coordinator at Marillac Center, Kansas City, Mo.

Sr. Ellen is the chair of the Board of Trustees for Daughters of Charity Services, New Orleans. She has served on numerous Boards, including the Board of Trustees of the former Daughters of Charity National Health System (DCNHS) and the Daughters of Charity Healthcare Foundation of St. Louis. She has also served on the Ascension Health Finance Committee and was a member of several DCNHS Board committees.
