Polly Jones

Polly Jones is Senior Director, Access Leadership for Ascension Health. Ms. Jones works with Ascension Health’s hospitals and community coalitions throughout the country to develop local models that provide access to care for the uninsured and underinsured. This work includes coaching and consulting with hospital CEOs to support their leadership in providing access to healthcare for disparate populations within their communities. She also serves on the project management team for the National Community Cancer Centers Program, a project funded through the National Cancer Institute, specifically working with the three Ascension Health pilot sites on access and disparities issues related to cancer care.

Ms. Jones has 30 years experience in healthcare. Her efforts include 21 years in hospital management in the areas of performance improvement, utilization management, risk management, social work and community collaboration activities. She also served for nine years at the Ascension Health System Office Clinical Excellence division providing project management for several of the Priorities for Action with Healthcare That Is Safe and coordination of support services for Joint Commission Accreditation.

Ms. Jones has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from David Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tenn.; a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and a Masters of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Ind. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and a Certified Healthcare Risk Manager.
